Today we were supposed to be at school at 8.30 and the purpose was to work on our projects. We weren’t expecting any teachers because they went bird watching last night at 4 o’clock. But fortunately Thórhildur and Roger came on time because we don’t want to have our English writing wrong (so I hope I’m doing it mostly right here). After school, which ended at about 3 o’clock, many people went to Gothenburg to shop but the others went home to sleep a bit. I personally don’t like it now that I went shopping because now I have only 3000kr/isl (300kr/se) to live on until we go home, not good. I can’t buy anything in the tax-free store :-( After all the shopping most of us just went home to eat, watch videos and sleep.

This morning I and a few others had to wake up a 6 o’clock to get the bus at 7.20, because it takes us an hour to get to school (so we have an excuse if we are really tired and aren’t in the mood to work on our projects). We first go by bus, then train and sometimes bus again :-(

Today we had to do our presentations and the room we were in was full in the beginning of the day but after lunch it was only half full. I really liked it because then my group was supposed to do our project and the plan was to sing, so I liked it that so many people had gone away. When the group, which was before the last one, was doing its presentation I heard a sound outside the window and I thought that there was a little kid outside playing with a flute but there was no kid. Suddenly I saw all of the Swedish students run out of the room and heard Roger say “It’s the fire alarm everyone out.” I thought he was joking because at home in Iceland if we hear the alarm we usually don’t do anything because it’s always a false alarm. So all of the Icelandic students went outside laughing because we knew it was false alarm, and it was :-) Someone hit the button, but didn’t mean to do it. The groups finished their presentations and most of us went home to sleep or get ready for tonight. We have planned to go to Gothenburg and have a night out. I hope you will hear about the night tomorrow!! :-)
